Booking fees are the RentEQ platform fee. Standard Stripe payment processing fees (2.9% + 30¢) also apply and are billed by Stripe to your connected account.

RentEQ has three plans. Free costs $0 per month and covers up to 10 equipment items. Pro costs $49 per month with unlimited equipment. Business costs $119 per month and adds multi-location inventory and invoicing on NET terms. Paid plans include a 14-day free trial and no card is required to start.
RentEQ takes a platform fee on each booking: 3% on Free, 1.5% on Pro, and 0.75% on Business. The fee is a percentage of the rental total, so it costs nothing when nothing is booked, and it is capped at $38 on Free, $19 on Pro and $10 on Business — a big-ticket booking never costs more than that. There is also a monthly ceiling on booking fees in total: $175 on Free, $100 on Pro and $20 on Business, so a busy month is never punished — once you reach it, the rest of the month's bookings carry no fee at all.
No. Stripe charges its own payment processing fee of 2.9% plus 30¢ per transaction, billed by Stripe directly to your connected account. That is separate from the RentEQ platform fee. On a $500 rental on the Pro plan you would pay $7.50 to RentEQ and about $14.80 to Stripe.
The Free plan covers the owner's own login. Pro adds 3 staff logins on top of the owner, and Business is unlimited. Staff run day-to-day operations; managers can also cancel bookings, issue refunds, and apply damage charges. Neither can see billing or account settings.
No. Every RentEQ account gets a hosted storefront at renteq.online/your-business where customers browse your equipment, pick dates, and pay. You can list equipment and take your first booking the same afternoon you sign up, with no developer involved.
Yes. Deposits are collected through Stripe when the booking is made and refunded automatically when the equipment is returned on time, so you no longer hold checks or run cards by hand.
No. RentEQ tracks how many units of each item you own and checks availability for the requested dates before confirming, so two customers cannot reserve the same machine for overlapping dates.
Yes, on the Pro and Business plans. Customers who opt in when booking receive automated SMS pickup and return reminders, up to three messages per rental, and can reply STOP at any time. Late returns are flagged and chased automatically.
